Curriculum Vitae
I specialize in asset pricing and risk management, with a focus on securitization modeling, affordable housing, household finance, and climate risk analysis. My earlier work includes the development of the Jarrow-Yildirim model for inflation-linked securities and co-authoring a patent for commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). I was cited in newspapers and magazines such as U.S. News, Business Week, Real Deal, and Bloomberg TV, among others. Alongside this, I have served as a consultant for real estate and finance companies, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
In addition to my research, I actively contribute to the field through my roles on the editorial boards of journals, including Real Estate Economics, Journal of Credit Risk, and Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. I am Weimer School of Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Land Economics Fellow. I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Yildiz Technical University. Later, I studied at Cornell University, obtaining an M.A. in Economics and a Ph.D. in Statistics.
